Mask Man

Videos makes us believe,don't they? In the above I (or someone with legs like mine) talk about the apparent proof that video can give. Mask Man says that he is wearing a mask and you see that he is. Now I am also wearing a mask. I am telling you that while I type these words I am wearing a mask. But you may or may not believe me. You really have nothing to go on.

Why would I lie about that? Why wouldn't I? I could be the mask man or I may just be a regular weird biz. I may be a cat or a squirrel. How do you really know for sure? It's hard to know when you are reading if what you are reading is true or not. It is some form of communication though, perhaps words in and of themselves are truth.

What is it (truth) anyway? When a cat ponders the universe is he any less likely to understand it than we are? Is there anything to understand? You have pondered these things and now you are reading that they have been pondered by others, or are you? Perhaps you've written this yourself. Perhaps you are the mask man?

Can you really prove that you didn't write this? I'm not really sure that I have written it and I'm quite sure that I will not be writing it later.

I'm also not entirely sure that you and I aren't somehow more connected than is apparent. Perhaps that's the biggest illusion of them all. That people are somehow separate. You may think you know who the Walrus is, but really he is me and we are all together. Dig?

Whether you know what I mean or not, I'm not sure that matters. That's like a thin layer of icing on a big thick cake. We're in the cake together, me and you. We're in this together. You wrote this as much I did. Although currently it may feel like you're reading this, you have to realize how fleeting the whole time thing is. There's no way of getting a grasp on it.

But really, you know how that is. Being that you were there when it happened, and it's happening now.
