The Summer Of Tay Zonday

I've been thinking about Tay Zonday a lot lately. I've been thinking about the summer of Tay Zonday. "Chocolate Rain" may be quite burned into our consciousness but where does that leave ol' Tay? And how burned is it? Last night a song was rainrolled in a living room. So it exists now. But it's only been a few months. The same thing couldn't happen a year from now, could it? Perhaps.

Chocolate Rain now has over 10 million plays:



His big follow up "Internet Dream" has over 1 million plays. While it's a quite good song it kind of puts Tay in on the joke. I think the thing is, people wanted to make fun of him, not laugh with him. So... While I think it's actually a better song than "Chocolate Rain" ... it's not as effective as a piece of amusement.



His latest song is "Someday" which sounds quite heart felt. It's actually not that bad but he does struggle to sing in tune, now that's something I can identify with.



He does appear to have some real fans on that there YT. For that I say congrats Tay. He does enjoy making these songs and they are unique. I think he's a pretty creative weird bastard. For that I give him the Weird Biz Salute.
