Mike Gravel speaking more obvious truths that anyone with any sense knows. Maybe people can finally stop being reactionary on these matters and actually talk about these things in a reasonable manner?
My favorite bit from this is where Gravel says "addiction is a public health problem it's not a criminal problem"
The real Flaming Lips Message Board has been opened over at Music By Day -> Check it out! -> START POSTING NOW about CLOUDS TASTE METALLIC, THE SOFT BULLETIN, YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS, AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS, PRIEST, TRANSMISSIONS and all of the rest of that jazz -> THE FLAMING LIPS MESSAGE BOARD.
The first track from Paul McCartney's new album Memory Almost Full - "Dance Tonight"
See the video (& of course hear the song), it's pretty groovy. The video was directed by Michel Gondry and features a cameo by Natalie Portman (a friend of Paul's daughter Stella.)
Idiots. This is a horrible list of the "50 worst bands of all time." It's not so much the selections I disagree with (I dislike almost every band on their list) it's their reasoning that makes me get a bit nauseous. Unfortunately I cannot say more at this time. It's their little blurbs about The Doors & Skinny Puppy that I find most distasteful. Dig?
I'm in the eye's mind to see some psychedelic videos. Let me see what I can find for myself and then when you are higher than a kite or perhaps conceptualizing the monkey of your mind - you can perhaps - enjoy - perhaps - some of these very same comma without comma atmosphere that fills my mind and ears. Dig? Dig! In other words, let's see what happens:
STARTING WITH #! ---> A.
huh? some pretty neat video tricks actually. some remind me of michel gondry's strange techniques for creating unusual visions.
Levi's commercial from the 70s... WTF?Fd?
Psychedelic Techno Lightshow - ah.. what's the past and what is the future?
Alexander Shulgin: "The Father of MDMA" - ok this is more of a documentary dealio. interesting anyway.
Mitch Hedberg is one of my favorite comedians of all time (along with Bill Hicks) ... sadly Hedberg and Hicks are both no longer here in this particular world. Anyway... Their weird biz lives on! Here's Mitch Hedberg on David Letterman's LATE SHOW:
So I saw Spiderman 3 last night. It sucks. Sure it's funny a few times, a couple of times it's even funny on purpose. But usually it's funny when it's trying to be serious. I really need to stop watching these hyped blockbuster movies - I'm disappointed almost every single time.
Although I know Mike Gravel is "unelectable" I wish that were not the case and I think it's great that people still care enough to try and make real change happen.
This is a 2 minute clip from the pilot episode that I still haven't seen. I was hoping to piece it together on Google Video... (oh yes read my previous entry you insane bastard. see now that i know you were looking for TP i feel that i know a little bit about you, i can speak to you in our special language. i would never ask you to do anything strange... it would all be very natural...)
I've still never got to see the full TV pilot as it's not released for netflix... I know you can buy it for some outrageous amount of money on EBay... but damn biscuits, my friends, damn biscuits!
I've been devouring season 2 of Twin Peaks. It's finally been released and thus I am rocking it like a monkey with the netflix. I never watched Twin Peaks when it was first on. I actually saw the movie before I saw any of the shows. I liked the movie but I really love the show. I got the first season about 6 months ago and went through it fast. I loved it. Season two so far is even better. There's so much going on, it's quite incredible, I don't really know what's going on. But it's very delicious. It's really addictive. I watched 2 episodes last night back to back. And I think I may do the same tonight...
Sen. Sam Brownback, Gov. Mike Huckabee and Rep. Tom Tancredo
These three clowns all raised their hands at the Republican debate to indicate that they do not "believe" in Evolution. They do not "believe" in scientific fact. These clowns should be laughed off the stage, not running for president. What's really more scary than the fact that these clowns are running for president (they surely won't win, so...) but that they are already a Senator, Governor, and a Congressman. Why are people like this electable in our country? It's just ridiculous.
Not exactly groundbreaking information but it has to be said: Republicans suck.
If you are even THINKING about voting for a Republican in the 2008 presidential election you need to be shaken real hard.
Rudy G & John McCain ... an improvement over George W? Sure. Who wouldn't be an improvement over that monkey?
The whole idea of conservatism is stupid. These are people who can't deal with change. People who don't understand progress. Throughout history conservatives are *always* wrong. Not sometimes, always. Always.
Today is no different my friends.
I don't care if you support Obama or Clinton or Mike Gravel.
As long as you don't vote for a Republican. Under ANY circumstances. They just really suck, really bad. No joking, kids! I hate me some republicans.
On the other hand while I don't totally agree with him I do have respect for a libertarian Republican like Ron Paul:
Of course he has no more chance of winning the R nomination as Gravel does of winning the D.
Hollywood Undead - Check their ridiculous MySpace page - has to be the worst band of all time. It's like some kind of brain dead combination of all of the worst elements of every kind of music in the world. I hear the cheesy production elements of the Backstreet Boys along with the worst aspects of the lyrics of Eminem and the lamest aspects of "hard" music. Obviously this is music intended for 13 year olds. But it's still offensive, is it not? Even 13 year olds deserve to listen to good music.
