Sgt Pepper

Well it does seem to be wearing off. But let us venture in anyway, as well as we can anyway:

Let us fly along with the message:

Tony: I am from your past.

Sauce: We are all from the past.

Tony: What?

Sauce: I mean somebody's past anyway. Compared to something. What I'm saying is time is insignificant. Do not think of yourself as young or old - you are.

Tony: What are you smoking?

Sauce: Done for now, broseph. Although LOVE. Wait, this isn't supposed to be happening?

Tony: What the hell are you talking about?

Sauce: It's the wrong track bub. I thought this was the original, although now I realized what happened.

***Places Rodent Where She Belongs***

Omni: What I'm trying to get across with all of this is that I feel it's been mis-stated.

Sauce: Screw it man, that doesn't even matter. It is. It IS! Dig?!

Omni: Yeah man, I get it. I finally do. Let us create the master donkey.

Tony: Oh you think it's so easy?

Sauce: Tony, when did you become aware?

Tony: You think you're the only one, don't you? You think you're so special with your weird hats and your toe nails and all of that bullshit. Everyone thinks about what the crickets do when the sunshine's away.

Omni: I don't know, I think it important... to talk about this I mean... You can go so far and then what? This is it right, this is where we are anyway? If we don't at least pretend like it's important... ah I don't know.

OH. I think I get it! Finally! It is those moments. Those moments of complete clarity and beauty... when you realize everything is one. Everything is right. And your skin has goosebumps... When I get high with a little help from my friends.

NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg Running For President?

There are indications that Republican NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg may be readying himself for a run at the White House as an independent. This would certainly shake things up quite a bit as Bloomberg has a massive fortune to run a campaign. He's an economic conservative and social liberal who could draw support from both Republican and Democrat candidates (although likely more Republicans...)

I think that a Bloomberg run in a way may make it more likely for a Dem. to win the White House in '08 so in that way I'm all for it. I'd also prefer Bloomberg over any of the Republican candidates (save Ron Paul of course.)

Mike Gravel Wants To Legalize Pot

Mike Gravel, who is running for president of the United States, wants to legalize pot.

I feel that there are many potheads out there who do a disservice to themselves and everyone else who wishes to live in free country when they don't get involved with politics. Sure you can often feel like no matter who you vote for you're going to get screwed, but that's not the case this time. This time Mike Gravel is running. Gravel wants to do the sensible thing and make marijuana legal. He wants to end the prohibition against pot!

A common argument for the legalization of pot: Anyone who has any experience with pot knows that it's far less dangerous and debilitating than alcohol.

While this argument is completely valid in and of itself and is in fact completely true there's a much better argument to be made in my opinion:

Restricting personal civil liberties is wrong.

It's flat out that easy to me. It's absolutely insane that people think it's "OK" for our government to tell us what's OK to put in our body.

If the Government wants to help people with addictions that's fine. But restricting freedoms is another thing entirely. As Mike Gravel says "Addiction is a public health problem not a criminal problem."

When I speak of addiction of course I am speaking about harder drugs like Heroin. Pot is not physically addictive. In fact the legal drugs nicotine and alcohol are both more addictive than pot.

Perhaps I've got off topic a bit (ah but digression can often be quite illuminating.)

My point is Mike Gravel deserves your support if you truly believe in civil liberty! Learn more about Mike Gravel and how you can support him at www.MikeGravel2008.us

Weird Al Videos

Some have said since this site is about weird I should include some Weird Al. Well really I don't consider Weird Al to be that weird, at least not in the way that I really dig. But that being said, I'm not one to shy away from public satisfaction and I do think he's quite musically talented.

Actually I'm far more impressed with his musical talent than I am with his humor. His humor is usually quite hokey and silly but he's got to be very musically talented to do the musical part of his parodies so well.

"White and Dirty" - OK I have to admit this one is pretty clever.

"Amish Paradise" - OK this one is pretty good too. Maybe I do dig Weird Al?

Why You Should Support Mike Gravel For President

In case you do not know, and with the way the media follows politics that is likely, former Alaska senator Mike Gravel (D) is running for president. Below I shall give you 10 reasons why you should support Mike Gravel for president.

#1 He's honest. And I'm not talking about your usual political variety of honesty. He's *really* honest. He doesn't give run around answers. Unlike most politicians he doesn't check a poll to see what his answer should be.

#2 He's been against the war in Iraq since the beginning. Not only has he been against the war since before it began but he saw through George W Bush's lies right from the get go. Why should we be supporting Hillary Clinton or John Edwards (both voted for the War in 2002) if they couldn't see through Bush's lies? Or more likely they saw through the lies and voted for the war anyways for political reasons. Do you really want someone who will vote for a war that is obviously wrong just because it's popular at the time to be your next president?

Although the war was sold to the American public (through lies) and was popular at the start there were many Americans who did not buy the lies. As Gravel says: 50 million Americans knew the Iraqi war was wrong from the get go (And I very proudly include myself in that group) why should anyone whose judgment is worse than 50 million Americans be even considered to be the next president of the United States?

He has a plan to get out of Iraq immediately.

#3 He's for the decriminalization of drugs. The "war on drugs" has done nothing but create crime where there otherwise wouldn't be any and made it harder for addicts to receive the help that they need.

Prohibition (alcohol) didn't work in the 20s and the prohibition of marijuana doesn't work now. Prohibition only made crime climb and made people disrespect the law because the law was unreasonable. The same thing is true now. Any time a government unnecessarily restricts personal freedoms that government will lose the respect of it's people. It's ridiculous for a government in a supposed free society to be able to tell it's people what they can and cannot do with their own bodies.

Certainly I'm not saying that addiction to drugs like heroin is a good thing. But Gravel says it succinctly: "Addiction is a public health problem, not a criminal problem." If you regulate drugs like heroin then the people who are addicted to them could receive help without being treated like criminals. It's truly disgusting (and hypocritical) the way our government treats people who use drugs.

The legalization and regulation of drugs would help the country on multiple levels. First of all it would reduce crime greatly. Secondly it would make it easier for addicts of hard drugs like heroin to receive help. Thirdly it would save the government millions of dollars currently wasted on "war on drugs" to be used for health care, education, and for fighting real crime.

#4 He wants to revamp the tax system. Gravel says we have a corrupt tax system with so many loopholes that it allows most rich people to pay a much lower rate of taxes than the middle class. Gravel wants to get rid of the income tax and replace it with a national sales tax. The income tax has been in place since 1913 and if you do some research on the income tax you will see that it is has been corrupt from the start.

#5 He supports universal health care. America is far behind the curve when it comes to health care. There are millions of Americans who do not have any health care.

#6 He wants to act on global warming. A big change from our current president who doesn't seem to believe in science.

#7 He supports the national initiative. Read more about the national initiative.

#8 Opposes military action against Iran. If you listen to the rhetoric on Iran (especially from Republicans) you'll hear something that sounds very similar to the build up to the Iraq war in 2002. We cannot make this mistake again.

#9 Supports the rights of homosexuals. Gravel supports same-sex marriage and opposes the Defense of Marriage Act. In other words Gravel is firmly in the 21st century. You must understand by now that conservatives are always wrong. Always. It's in their very nature to want to hold onto things how they've always been. Imagine where we'd be without progressive ideas? In the future the discrimination against gays and lesbians will be looked at similarly to how we look back at discrimination against blacks in the past now. It's just wrong. It's as simple as that.

#10 He makes the coolest YouTube videos.

No more politics as usual. It's time for a real change. It's time to finally move into the 21st century.

OH SHIT! I've been off the homerow for a little while now. I just realized. That's what I get for trying to type with my eyes closed. Anyway.. uh... I don't really know what I was saying but I think it may have been THE ANSWER (although probably not... but if it WAS... isn't that just the way? the answer comes and i type it out but i'm off the home row so i can't read it later!)

This may have become somewhat tangential... Maybe that's the story of this song. It does feel like an interlude... certainly works better on album. I suppose it depends on what you're trying to do.

MRS VANDERBILT

marching in a cave. sort of a weird guy with the voice. the hey hey oh is back to the march. the real thing here is the slamming bass. wow this almost feels mixed mono? is there any stereo panning going on here? ok maybe here... damn jiggity with the horn.

MR. BELLAMY

gotta love the horn. it's almost headspinning how quickly the different sections come in. space enters towards the end. otherwise it's more like being pushed over than floating in - but very delicious as far as tasting goes. i don't know why must it be in code... do you?

now i know ... FOR SECRETS?)

and now it's time for the real story:

pretty cool groove. great lineeeeeeee... and i like the things around. the people.... the characters. and there we go.

what are secrets that no one would ever find? (or look for) and that are ultimately completely meaningless? at least it seems that way...

verizon.

Getting Out Of Iraq

Sometimes people say things like "If we leave Iraq now then our soldiers will have died in vain." With a failure like Iraq this was true from the start. And as Mike Gravel says (paraphrased) "What's worse than soldiers having died in vain? More soldiers dying in vain!"

Mike Gravel has a plan to get us out of Iraq (COMPLETELY) immediately. There's no reason for us to be there. Let's take that $100 billion being wasted in Iraq and put it towards things that could change America for the better.

Mike Gravel was right about Iraq and he's right for president. We should be seeking out someone with extraordinary insight as our president. We see what happens when you pick a "good ol' boy." Visit Mike Gravel's website at MikeGravel2008.US

Senator Gravel publicly opposed the planned invasion of Iraq in 2002. He appeared on MSNBC prior to the invasion insisting that intelligence showed that there were no weapons of mass destruction, that Iraq posed no threat to the United States and that invading Iraq was against America's national interests and would result in a disaster of epic proportions for both the United States and the Iraqi people.

Do Not Vote For A Republican In 2008

I watched the first hour of the Republican debate last night (that's all I could stand) and I must say it's vital that you do not vote for a republican in 2008. Do not be fooled thinking that McCain or Rudy G. are "moderate" they are saying all of the same crap about the "war on terror" and Iran that Dubya is.

If you vote for these guys you will be asking for a continuation of Dubya's policies. Is that what you want? It's time to move forward. This is the 21st century and republicans have ideas that are fit for the dark ages.

It doesn't matter if it's Barack Obama, John Edwards, or Hillary Clinton. You need to vote for a democrat in 2008!

I support Mike Gravel because his ideas are outstanding and I would love for him to be the next president of the United States. But it's vital we do not let another republican in the white house. They are absolutely unfit to lead this country.
