Renting A Car For A Road Trip

I'm considering renting a car for a road trip. I mean ... hell yeah. It'd be cheaper than the plane and we were going to rent a car when we got there anyway, so when you consider that - it's saving like 400 or 500 dollars. Plus it means you dont have to worry about carrying your luggage onto the plane and all of that insanity. What I mean is there's a lot more travel space. So yeah, it seems like a pretty good idea. Plus then we could bring the cat with us.

New Website Design

As you can see I'm kicking it PINK style now my brothers & my sisters. This is a response to what SATAN tried to do to my website. You see Satan brought my website down for about a day & a half... but now it's back and it's pink. Univeral Health Care

I just got a campaign contribution call from Barack Obama's campaign. They asked if I'd like to make a contribution and I said not until he supports Universal Health Care and the guy says "Well he kind of already..." and I said "No, I mean real Universal Health Care like Dennis Kucinich's plan."

And I'm telling you, it's as simple as that for me and I bet a lot of other people... Any one of the frontrunners can get my support with a real Universal Health Care plan (and no John Edwards doesn't have one.)

To make things clear, I like Barack Obama and I would certainly vote for him in the general election over any of the guys on the Republican side. (Yes, including Ron Paul. I like Ron Paul's honesty but I think Libertarian ideals when applied against social programs and the like are just wrong. Give me civil liberty, sure, but I don't see why you can't have social freedom and social programs at the same time. Paul is very much against Universal Health Care.)

Believe it or not some crazy bastard was searching this very question "Is GWB Jesus?" - One would hope he was just searching to find nutters to make fun of but one has to be somewhat concerned that it was a serious inquiry as I've seen quite a few seemingly serious statements and questions on this here internet not far removed.

Anyway I think this is sort of a fun game to play. Find some of the most ridiculous things people are searching for to find my site and then make a post with that title. Then next time (if there is a next time) someone searches for said ridiculous thing they will find a post here about how ridiculous it is to search for such a ridiculous thing! You see? Children International

I recently started sponsoring a child in India via Children International.

The sponsorship is only $22/month. Which doesn't seem like it would be enough to help a child, right? But according to the information they gave me the child's entire family makes a total of $19/month. So that small amount of money could actually go far in helping with clothing and medicine as things are much cheaper in India.

Anyway it's nice to do something that isn't entirely selfish every once in awhile. This is my first time in a long time and I thought I would share that with you my friendly friends. It's a nice feeling to help someone who is far less off than I am. So I recommend it if you have the money to spare. See it really is selfish in the end isn't it? It's the nice feeling you are getting out of it that really gets you going? Oh... well this turns into a philosophical question I suppose. I can't even write about Children International without getting some of the Weird Biz in can I?

When you sponsor a child you get the child's name and information. The child will send you letters and you can write back. I don't want to share the child's name or picture here as that seems like it would be wrong to share her personal info to people without her consent but I will update with how it goes - hopefully inspiring others to also sponsor a child.

I will tell you that she lives in India and she is 6 years old.

Oh you may be thinking, does she speak English? How is she going to read or write you letters? No she doesn't speak English. She speaks Bengali. (No I don't speak Bengali.) So how does it work? They have translators who will translate your letters for her and her letters for you. They say they also include the original - which is very cool.

I won't be around for awhile (about a week due to a trip) so I wish all of my loyal readers here at Weird Biz a wonderful week and a joyous biscuit or three.

As I've mentioned before, it really tickles my fancy when religious nutjobs go after other religions for being nutty. If they were to look at their own religion as critically as they do others, they'd soon drop the whole deal.
