Abstract Photography

As I think I’ve mentioned here before, I live in Brooklyn, NY. Lately I’ve been getting more into the artistic photography scene here and I’ve gone to a few abstract photography galleries and there’s one dude’s photos that always stand out to me. His name is HUGO KINDRED. He now has some of his Photography For Sale Online. It’s really wild, imaginative stuff.

But what really adds to his story is that apparently no one knows who he is exactly or anything about him. The prevailing rumor is that he lives here in New York as he names a lot of his photos after NYC areas but really because of the nature of a lot of his photography it’s unclear if they were actually taken here or not! I love the mysteriousness element of him & his work.

I’m thinking about getting one of his prints for my home, one of the really large ones as I think that would look amazing. While they are quite expensive - I think their uniqueness and artistic value make it well worth the cost.

Imagine the image below blown up to 2 foot by 3 foot! (That’s the largest possible at ImageKind)

Hugo Kindred also does the artwork for the indie experimental electronic psychedelic rock band (quite a mouthful) Outer Clockwise.
