Chikezie - “I’ve Just Seen A Face” - American Idol 7

I thought he did the best version last week… Although I can’t even remember what song he did at the moment… So I’m going into this one with some what high expectations that it might not totally suck ass. Let’s see.

On Chikezie: He seems like an alright guy.

On His Performance: Oh… Now I remember that he did “She’s A Woman” … that was a good song selection by him. This is actually sort of interesting. It’s like a soul/country mash-up. It’s a bit ridiculous but I’ll give him some credit for being a bit imaginative with the arrangements.

On Randy: I actually thought the slower part was cooler. The fast party sounded a bit ridiculous because of the cheeze of the arrangement.

On Simon: I kind of agree with him on this one. It was pretty gimmicky. I think if he had just stuck with the soul version it would have been pretty good.
