Killer Marijuana Does Not Exist

Watch This:

Unbelievable. Fox News is so full of crap it’s just unbelievable. It’s just very sad how many uninformed people watch this garbage and take it as fact. It’s extremely sad because these uninformed people then go and vote for “tough on crime” power hungry politicians who waste our tax money with anti drug BS.

And even more importantly these fools are indirectly responsible for putting innocent people in jail! Someone is not a criminal just because they buy, grow, or even sell drugs. They just aren’t. It’s a stupid definition of criminality. A criminal is someone who does something to someone else. And there’s plenty of these real criminals around. People who rape, rob, and MURDER other people. Why don’t we spend our law enforcement budget on stopping real crime?

All “drugs” should be legal in a free society. Until all drugs are legal we cannot call America the “home of the free.” It’s just false advertising.

END THE WAR ON DRUGS!

    Barbara Mason’s retirement job….

    pot addiction

Atrophy of the brain and cirrhosis of the liver are long-term side effects of heavy alcohol dependence. And withdrawal for alcoholics can bring sometimes fatal delirium tremors and convulsions.

    Those facts are well known.

But much less is known about marijuana, the nation’s most widely used and socially accepted illicit drug. Our knowledge of marijuana is often based on personal experience, observation or anecdotes, despite a growing collection of scientific studies on the topic.

Scripps Research Institute addiction expert Barbara Mason hopes to change that, and to help find novel treatments for addiction to marijuana, with some solid scientific data.

Mason is leading the first-ever comprehensive study on the neurobiological effects of cannabis addiction, funded with a $4 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. …………….

    Two things…

First - This sort of sensational, false reporting isnt limited to Fox News. It is perpetrated by vertualy all news outlets. They have to fill a 24 hour news cycle and begin creating news instead of simply reporting news. Beware of ANY reporter who quotes an “unnamed law enforcment source.” All Law Eenforcement agencies have Public Information Officers (PIO) who release information to the media. The PIO is ALWAYS named. The failure to follow up on information being made by an unnamed source is lazy jouralism. Most likely caused by trying to beat the competition to the air first.

Second - While I do support the decriminalization or legalization of drugs, I disagree with the statement in this page that “someone is not a criminal just because they buy, grow, or even sell drugs.” Yes they are, and here is why. Current Federal Law and most State Law forbid the possession of Marijuana and other certin substances. Thus by definition, being in posession of such items make one a “criminal”. Just because we disagree with the law, does not make the law void. Until it is changed, (and it should be changed), the person in violation is a criminal. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “criminal” as a person who is “guilty of crime”. A person who is convicted of buying, growing, or selling illegal drugs would then, by definition, be a “criminal”.

Let’s change the law so we can stop the senseless creation of new “criminals.”

I saw the same fox news (channel 13 here) cast in Seattle few months back. I’m not sure if the house was the same but the reporters read the same script, makes me wonder….

this s**t really makes me mad… it simply makes no sense… if public health were genuinely the concern then alcohol would be under attack… its hard to believe that it is not all just an easy way to criminalize otherwise innocent harmless regular folks… a way to put people into the system that would otherwise be doing nothing to warrant being put into the system… i feel like it has been proven already that the only truly harmful part of ingesting marijuana is the inhalation of smoke which isnt good for your lungs… the marijuana itself is harmless… maybe they heard someone referring to some “killer weed” & they took it literally!
