Do not be alarmed if they have some of your personal information (such as past credit cards and addresses.) Unfortunately it’s not that hard for these scam artists to get that information. What’s important is that you do not add any information. You don’t need to tell them anything.
The most important point is: NEVER GIVE YOUR BANK INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.
Tell them that you want written proof of your so called “debts.” And even if they do send you what appears to be “proof” be wary of trusting anything they send you. I would definitely contact a lawyer before giving them one penny.
You can go to AnnualCreditReport.com (this is not a scam, it’s the official site that the government links to) to get a free credit report to see if any of these so called debts are actually on your credit report.
