Philip K Dick - The Three Stigmata Of Palmer Eldritch
So I’m finally reading this book THE THREE STIGMATA OF PALMER ELDRITCH by Philip K Dick. I’m a huge fan of PKD and I’ve had this book for awhile… But the first time I tried to read it, I just couldn’t get into it. The beginning is filled with some seemingly random and silly science fiction terminology and the story is a bit confusing at first. But I decided to give it another go last night.
I’m glad I did because it’s a Grade A mind melter once you get into the story. I read about half of it last night and I plan on reading the rest tonight.
If you enjoy yourself some mind melting, I recommend this book. But you do have to be a bit patient with the story as it doesn’t make much sense at first and there’s sort of a world you have to allow yourself to believe in before you can really get the full effect. But once you do… Man, this novel is like drugs. Good drugs. Magic mushrooms perhaps?

This is a good flub by ol’ McCain. Right up there with Dubya’s best work.
He tries to fix his mistake by going into more of this whole Americans Vs. Americans thing that the GOP seems to have going on. How is McCain going to explain to the people living in the other 49 states that those living Pennsylvania are the “most patriotic” ???
